3 MOONS : Almanac of the Dead
Recorded in the extreme high winter month of January in the North Country in a garage loft by woodstove heat, Almanac of The Dead is the first collection of songs/puzzles from 3 Moons, the solo garage-distorto-noise-folk wing of Jeffrey Rocketmild (the Sperm, I Don't Do Gentlemen, Curse of Dick Wilson). This record was brewed in Kansas City, and bottled in Minneapolis. The foundation is a rectangular guitar with a wooden face and an aluminum lasagna pan body with a stratocaster style neck and internal pickups played with a piece of copper pipe as a slide. It is accompanied by rich accordion hearse chords, simple percussion, vocal harmonies, and the occasional delay soaked clarinet voyage.
