Mental Control / Burn Country 2023
We are re-releasing BURN COUNTRY on its 5 year anniversary, with some re-mastering and updated track sequence. This is also the first time The Lodestones will be available on all streaming platforms. Here's the video for "Mental Control." We shot this in Oakland in 2018.
Synopsis:
An ersatz Elvis impersonator is being pursued by some kind of potentially dangerous Man in Black. He is caught and held hostage in a cheap motel room, then subjected to psychic testing before being regaled by the Man In Black's tales of the extraterrestrial and supernatural literature. The Man In Black is threatened by some kind of sword wielding apparition, and then appears to commit pill induced suicide. The Elvis Impersonator hires a trumpet playing cactus shaman from the street to negate the evil influence of the Man in Black.
